中国人はすぐにそういう抽象的、精神的な議論をする。「中国共産党を信ぜよ」などと言い始める。だからこちらは「共産党は信じているが、あなたが約束を守るかどうかは信じていない」と言えばいい。
そうやって常に具体的に話すべきである。日本の政治家や評論家は中国の抽象的な説教に弱い。その点、民間人はビジネスだから「説教はいいから早くカネを払え」と言うことができる。
中国との交渉で、具体的な話になったら、「そのぐらいなら」と簡単に譲歩してはいけない。むしろ頑張れば尊敬される。
「そんなコロコロと変わるような人とはもう交渉しない」と言って、にこやかに出て行くくらいの態度で臨まなければいけない。マジメになってはいけないのである。
